She knows that it is common and nothing to talk about or dwell on. But she still can’t understand it. The injustice and the sadness that is not visible. The last time it happened, Maria Eufrosyne didn’t want to live anymore. She didn’t think it was a good idea. But now when she looks down at Little Hedvig’s golden locks, she is so happy about life. Maria Eufrosyne squints her eyes and prays and wishes hard. She wishes Hedvig life, a long life. Imagine if she even gets to sit like this one day with her own child in her arms…
Maria Eufrosyne and Magnus De la Gardie had eleven children. Only three of them became adults, and of them only Hedvig had children of her own.
