For as long as Maria Eufrosyne can remember, the White Deer has been seen in the forests around the Castle. He is usually seen at dusk. He is majestic and magical. Every year, the men talk about hunting and bringing down the White Deer, but they have never succeeded. Maria thinks that is a good thing. Maria knows that it would be bad luck because he is magical. Magic should be left alone. It is only for us mortals to observe from a distance.

There have always been stories about a white deer being seen around Läckö Castle. I have never seen one myself but I still hope.
